Angels & Demons

I loved both Dan Brown's Robert Langdon novels, but this book, Angels & Demons, was my favorite. I'm hoping the movie will prove to be far better than Da Vinci Code. While this book is just as lengthy and informative with some historical facts, many segments can be removed and you'll still have an intriguing plot to carry the story. However, let's hope screenwriters gave this one better justice.

Still not sold on Tom Hanks as the the lead character, but he's growing on me. If this film does well, perhaps this will give Dan Brown the impetus to pen further Robert Langdon. Or maybe they'll consider turning his other works, Digital Fortress and Deception Point, into cinematic masterpieces!

I read A&D about 4 yrs ago (after reading TDC) and thought it was far better). I picked it up again last week and am now more than half way through.
I can't wait to see the movie next weekend! I really hope Hollywood does it justice!
I've read all of Dan Brown's other books and enjoyed them as well.
Did you know that he has a follow-up book to TDC called "The Lost Symbol" coming out Sept. 15th. Don't know the premise, but I hope it makes sense and isn't forced on the hype of just getting another book out!

Achilles, I saw the same day I posted this that DB has The Lost Symbol coming out this fall. I'm EXCITED!!!

What did you think of TDC the movie? For what they did, I think it was the best that could be done. The story was so long, so historical in places, anything else that was accomplished would have to become serial television...
