Watching CNN report on the Australian Bushfire, I sit in utter awe and amazement. Puts proper perspective on loss. The story has been in the news for a few weeks. I've caught the pictures, but never gave it a second thought. Wildfires seem such a normal occurrence anymore.
Every spring and summer, some part of Southern California seems to burn. I hate to admit it, but I've been desensitized. Oh, this is not to say my heart didn't go out to the Aussies, I feel their pain, but my attitude was "They can overcome. The Californians do."
Oh how ignorant Ian! People Down Under are loosing lives, property, and hope. The devastation unbelievable. So, this morning, I must chastise myself for not being more sympathetic....
