Outta Sight

Sam and Dean are on there Winter break, so no Supernatural this week. That might be a good thing because I still have to catch up with episodes from Season 7. I took a break from the show after the fifth season... Something about Sam being Lucifer was a tad off-putting.

Don't know why I watch really. Actually I do. I've always been a mild fan of Occult shows (the original Dark Shadows anyone???) Plus, I'll admit the Winchester boys have a certain je ne se quoi quality lately. Hmph. Jensen's got the cajones, but Jared is just the man you wanna take home to mama then later on ravage like mad. LOL.

Hmmm, so true! Don't get me wrong, but Matt Smith's incarnation of the Doctor tends to be grandiose and crest falls quickly. HOWEVER, he's no Christopher Eccleston! Worse Doctor EVER in my opinion. Smarmy, ignorant, rude, and just un-Doctorlike, I digress.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more hype surrounding Kim Zolciak's departure from the Real Housewives of Atlanta. She did call them the n-word in one of her final segments. Thought more folks would be after her wig for that racial epithet. Bravo censored the remark, but you could still her the "nigg..." before the bleep. Yeah. Baby it was time for you to go!

Maybe Kim's remarks were just a non fucking-factor! For that matter, is the show anymore? Atlanta Housewives seems to sinking to new depths. The two new women replacing Sheree, Porsha and Kenya(?).... I dunno. One is mad-stupid, the other is mad-crazy. To quote Kandi, they're boughetto Um... yeah.

The Atlanta franchise might be on the fast track to cancellation. Nene is making a name for herself! With her stints on the New Normal ( I adore that show) and Glee, how much longer is she going to stay??? Let's face it, Nene is the Real Housewives Of Atlanta! I can't see the show continuing much longer. I don't. I really, really don't....

Pearl Harbor Day

With the World War II Vets getting on in age now, with our modern day battles and concerns, I often wonder if the younger Americans stop and think about Pearl Harbor's events? I mean when you think about all of today's conflicts....We had Iraq, Still have to deal with our involvement in Afghanistan and Libya, and looks like Syria is on the list of  US involvement soon enough al Assad continues to threaten his people with chemical warfare.... Pearl Harbor seems like a small blip on the historical radar.  Let's never forget those heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice that day so Americans (and eventually Europe) could stand tall and free.

I must be getting old. Well, indeed I am, but it's funny how time passes and you're slightly aware of the fact and NOT at the same time. I mean, when the heck did Joseph Gordon Levitt get elevated to hottie status?!?!?! LOL.

Oh, I'm not quite sure he's my type or not. Cute, yes. But I like a think man. Still... Last time I checked, JGL was on a lil show called Third Rock From The Sun and still had his longish locks. Yes, I've seen his movies... Latter Days, Mysterious Skin, Brick, Miracle At St. Anna, Inception...

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm too flabbergasted on how quickly the time has moved forward. Alas, I'll concede I'm getting older, but so too is cute Joseph!

That said, I suppose I'll add him to my list for Santa this year.

Well, hmmmmmm. This probably has made it's round across the blogosphere by now, but this is the first time I'm seeing the cast for next season's drag race. It should be interesting. And, pray tell, was that Sharon Needles' boyfriend Alaska in the clip? Sharon made mention Alaska has been trying for several seasons to get on RDR. Bitch finally got her chance. Talk about perseverance! That's what I'm talking about.

While we're on the subject, was anyone else disappointed Raven didn't win Drag Race All-Stars? I love Raven and grrrrl was ROBBED! Just wrong. But then again, Chad is older than the other drag-testants (No shade, no tea cause I'm OLDER than Chad. LOL) so I guess this is a solute to his years on the scene. So congratulations... Next time, Raven though! Just sayin'.

Lord, I ate enough for three people yesterday. Yes indeed. I need to get it together and get back into the groove of things. Don't need extra pounds added...especially since I've been on a weight loss roll this year (one of the good things from being off and dedicated to my personal health).

I know one of my brethren in blogging has described Tom as "something from Middle Earth," but I think our young Olympian has an endearing spirit. Get into motion today! Whether its shopping or like my godson wants to do decorating for the next big Holiday, keep it moving!

Happy Thanksgiving 2012

 I must be getting old, er... older, because the last few days I've been saying to myself "I can't believe the Holidays are here. Where did the year go???" LOL. My parents and grandparent always used to (and truth be told still do) say that when I just a wee lad.

Well suppose I must confess what I'm Thankful for this year. To sum it up in one word... LIFE. 2012 issued the passing of many friends and family. I'm grateful more than anything to still be here, making it. It's been a rough year, but I'm happy to be alive and able to make the necessary changes. So as I'm about to grease on some serious home cooking, I reflect on those loved ones that have gone to glory and thank them truly for their influence on my life. I'm glad they taught me a thing or two about this crazy thing called life. Bless them. Bless you. Have a great day!

Party This Weekend at 1600!

Since I really haven't been blogging much in 2012, there's been not much political thought on the Presidential Race (and now WIN) for 44! Like most folks, Tuesday night was filled with anticipation, dread, mixed thoughts, and concern about the potential winner. Lord thank GOODNESS there's still some sense in America. Yes there's plenty of criticism of the Obama Administration, but looking at the possibility of spending four years under a Romney Plan (or lack thereof) was a pill our country couldn't swallow. The voice of the people has been heard. Like it or not, you need to move past the bullsh*t and work with the President.

I'm oh-so-glad the President achieved a second term. Hell, he deserves it. As I've plenty times this year, it took Bush eight years to fuck up the country, Obama can't solve it just four! Amen. The road ahead is gonna be long. Who knows what shenanigans the GOP has in store. I image the same old shuck and jive bullshit will continue. Hopefully, President Obama will take a lesson from across the aisle and use their same tactics to get a Democratic Agenda accomplished. The political gridlock needs resolved regarding the economy, unemployment, and general stability of the US. Lord I hope we can get through this! I know we can if folks can work together. It's time for Washington to suck it up and get to business.
