OK, so I'm excited for the release of Days of Future Present. Bryan Singer has promised to fix many of the continuity errors between the original three X films, Wolverine, and First Class.
This should be interesting. If done correctly, Future Present could be better than last year's Avengers. Scratch beneath the surface, there's tons of errors and fuck ups in Avengers too. No, no need to be a slappy London. Allow for people to be people before you make judgments.
Thinking ahead, then next X-Men project I'd love to see someone tackle is the Onslaught storyline. This would need to handled carefully and delicately. No fuck-ups permitted. This may need some actor recasts, but first and foremost an Onslaught storyline needs to be tight. TIGHT.
Let's make this happen. Can we? If we're gonna keep doing Marvel Universe stories, why not some of the best? I wouldn't mind a Secret Wars film either. All the major participant have had a film done, Iron Man, Spider-Man, the Hulk, the Avengers, and the X-Men. The new Fantastic Four reboot should be done by the time a new Collective Marvel project would get underway... Seriously! Is anyone paying attention to these ideas??? This could work. Really!
Hell'er? Hollywood? Listen!

Super Duper, Above & Beyond.
Chris Evans is one handsome piece of eye candy. That ass!
OK, confession time. I hate the roles Chris has done for the Marvel Universe. Yeah, I know, hate is a mighty strong word. Alright, intensely disliked, is that better? As Captain America in The Avengers and as Johnny Storm/Human Torch in the previous incarnation of the Fantastic Four, I found him rather....blah. Don't get me wrong. I think Chris is a talented actor. His portrayal of Rogers and Storm brought both characters to life, trust. However, I'm waiting for that one film that stretches Chris' talent above and beyond. Something stupendous.
Am I the only one who is tired of the comic book movie sagas? No more revamps. Go away Spider-man. Don't redo Fantastic Four. Please don't ruin my X-men. The industry is over saturating the market. No wonder decent Wonder Woman/Justice League product can't be achieved. All the talent is being spread too thin. I need that next, great, cinematic masterpiece, worthy of my hard earned dollars, undying adoration, and praise. Has there been one film to fulfill that lately? Um, not to my knowledge. Life of Pi attempted to rise to the occasion, but nope. Awesome book, dreadful movie.
Dear Hollywood: no more Magic Mike-like films. Don't! Just don't. Sure, itt looks sexy at the time. It'll brought in the box office returns, but in 20-, 30-, 40- years from now, do you honestly think folk will remember Magic Mike? Hm. Doubtful. It's no Casablanca!
True. I must be the only gay man alive who hated Magic Mike...
*yawn*
Fell asleep on that shizzz. Thank the deities of ye ole stripper pole, Chris Evans wasn't offer any part in that project. Not cute. Not sexy. I'm be an easy lay, but I ain't a cheap date! I want Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y!!!
I have discerning tastes. I'm a tough sell. And I'm glad.

Beware of The Dark Side
Fan made posters for the next installment in the Star Wars saga. I'm hoping since George Lucas sold the franchise, the next three projects are equally as good. Lord knows we don't need another Phantom Menace film!!!

Warm Bodies
I have absolutely no desire to see this movie, but there's something about the actor who plays the zombie that I find drawn towards. If I were waaaaaaay younger, this boy probably had me swooning. I know not the young man's name! Horror of horrors!??! Why don't I know the boy's name!??!!
Oh God. Help! Somebody lock up my inner teenager that's gotten out. My middle-aged sensibilities can't take it! I don't know this boy's name!!!! WHY? Have I gotten old? Crazy to the point that I'm right here on the Internet, it's a simple matter of going to Google, and finding the young temptation of the undead variety's name, so that my, his, our, craving, lustfilledreamsofpassionaresatifiedfulfilled. Burbleburbleburblebuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrp!
Inhale:
AIR!
Sorry. Fell into the pits of zombie lust. Mustn't do that too close to the Zombie-apocalypse f. World War Z and all y'know. .Bradley's coming.
Fact: The actor's name is Nicholas Hoult. Indeed. He also was in X-Men: First Class. Ironic, the Beast brings out another, eh?
I was two years out of high school before this child took his first breath. **sigh**
The middle-aged man scampers back to reality. OH wait though!
I already have a boyfriend. And a girlfriend.
"Nevermind," say Emily Latella.
Note: if you got the last reference, then this should make you laugh too!
Happy Journeys!

Great Hera!
All this talk about Wonder Woman these days, I guess I'm starting to be a fan. Kinda. I'm a Marvel Man personally. DC Universe always seemed a little dry and dark. So what's the latest 411 on the Wonder Woman projects???

Cinema 2013?
Out of all the movies I saw last year, I think Spider-Man was the biggest disappointment. I felt a sleep on the damn thing. IMHO, it was just a boring reboot. Marvel, come, be more creative and stop with rebooting all the damn original comic projects! I don't need a new X-Men, Fantastic Four, or who have you everything the principle actor(s) quit the project! That goes for whoever makes Transformers too! Shia knew what the hell he was doing went he left!
With that Rant out of the way, I am looking forward to the second installment of Star Trek, LOL

Mean Disney Girls
Even though I'm usually not a Disney-Ho, I thought this was kinda cute. Those voices sync up just right with the animation. Ah, Mean Girls...

Breakfast at Tiffany's Final Scene
Since I'm kinda stuck in the house tonight with damn snow, figured I'd sit down with a bag of popcorn and watch good movies. By far, Breakfast At Tiffany's is one my faves of all time... And George was kinda hot back in the day, no? LOL.
"Mooooooooon Riiiiivaaaah."
I love it.

Angels & Demons
I loved both Dan Brown's Robert Langdon novels, but this book, Angels & Demons, was my favorite. I'm hoping the movie will prove to be far better than Da Vinci Code. While this book is just as lengthy and informative with some historical facts, many segments can be removed and you'll still have an intriguing plot to carry the story. However, let's hope screenwriters gave this one better justice.
Still not sold on Tom Hanks as the the lead character, but he's growing on me. If this film does well, perhaps this will give Dan Brown the impetus to pen further Robert Langdon. Or maybe they'll consider turning his other works, Digital Fortress and Deception Point, into cinematic masterpieces!

Trekkin'
See, David Dust should have never post this "Trek Yourself" link on his blog (he's since taken it down) because I've been having fun with it all weekend. Can you tell I have nothing better to do with my time??? I promise not to get too carried away. Probably post two more after this. In the meantime....

Maurice, Where Is It?

Unfortunately, because I live in Nowheresville, PA, I never got the opportunity to see Friends & Lovers: The Ski Trip 2. Those of you living in the big metro areas probably peep this at your local LGBT Film Festivals last year. Not such luck for moi. Hell, I'm grateful H-burg's got a Pride celebration, but even that is held in July instead of June. Go fig!
I've searched everywhere to see if Ski Trip has been released on DVD yet, but no dice. I'm sure there's a bootleg somewhere on the 'Net, but to the best of my ability, I haven't found it. Maurice and John make a cute couple, even if its just for pretend.
Wasn't this supposed to become a TV series? Doubt it'd go broadcast television due to content, but I'd rather that than Here! or Logo, neither network I subscribe to. Anyone with the good news on what's up with Maurice's project?

Half Blood Prince
One of several movies I'm looking forward to seeing later this year. Everything changed in this book, in my opinion. Definitely was darker and dealt with heavy adult themes. Can't wait to see how they pull this off. Better yet, how in the world are they going to condense The Deathly Hallows into one film? I think someone said there gonna make it two movies, which will be strange. What will the call the last movie then?
Someone call J.K. Rowling!!!

Saturday Amongst Das Nosferatu
This afternoon Hester and I are indulging ourselves in one our favorite hobbies, Vampire lure. Now after reading the oodles of folklore, one knows never to speak ill of the Vampyrii, or even call attention to them. They simply don't like it. Oh sure, they'll deal with an occasional moment or two in the spotlight, so long as their cover isn't blown, and the great masses still think their myth....LOL.
Seriously, Hester and I are going to at last catch Twilight since we both read the books. Then, later this evening, after the kiddies are nestled snugly in bed, were turning on HBO and catching up with my latest addiction, True Blood! I was skeptical watching the program, but Hester implored, begged me to. "You're gonna love it, just die over it." I knew the moment I saw Anna Paquin doing her thing or alarmingly sassy, but kinda cute, Nelsan Ellis as Lafayette Reynolds, she was right. I was hooked. This show is addicting.
So, I'm off to Washington State to visit the Cullens, then Bon Temp, LA for my pint o' True Blood at Merlotte's. Hopefully, I'll be back tomorrow to post, hahahahaHA!
