Another Birthday
Birthday are good things, right? Yes they are. But after you reach a certain point, the more interesting they get. After the remarkable childhood years, you have the fun anticipation birthdays...the 16th birthday so you can drive, the 18th birthday tha declares you an "adult," the 21st birthday giving you right to consume alcohol...yadda, yadda, yadda. And so it goes.
So 39, huh? Wow. I can't believe I'm 39 today. It just seems like yesterday I was turning 30. It's true the older you becom, the faster the days go by. This year, while I'm not happy about the number, I am grateful to be here. Last year this time I was gravely ill and almost died in the hospital. Fortunately by Grace, I am still here. Life may not be the best of situations, by God, I'm here. I'm here.
Have you ever Google who shares your birthday? I've known I share my date with some fasinating people. First and foremost, my favorite football team's QB, the Pittsburgh Steelers, good Ben Roethlisberger, also shares my day. Of course boyo is only 27 today. Young buck. But in addition to us, children's storyteller Dr Seuss, Theodor Seuss Geisel, current James Bond portrayor Daniel Craig, musicians Jon Bon Jovi and Chris Martin, and actresess Jessica Biel and Gates McFadden, the ever-so-snazzy Dr. Beverly Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation, are all born on March 2nd.
Speaking of Dr. Seuss, my all-time favorite book, the Lorax, got lost somewhere over the years and I want a replacement copy, but am too cheap to boy another. Hopefully, one of my wonderful friends reading this post will rush out and get me a copy for that surprise birthday party they think I don't know about on Saturday. Oops. Did I say that, LOL.....
What party?
