Silence Will....

Oh, wait. Wrong season. Doctor Who part 2 begins this upcoming Holiday weekend!

So what was the cliffhanger for this season again, eh? Oh yeah the Clara Oswin Oswald (or Whoever) girl. Can I just say I really hate the way TV shows split seasons these days????

Picture Perfect

Idris from a GQ magazine spread....
They say a picture conveys a 1,000 words and this one does not disappoint.
I love the sensual moody theme going on.

G'Morning!

Well, hello there!

Well, Really?

Easter Season

So Holy Week starts tomorrow. Hm, how do I feel about that? Not sure. Religion and I are having difference of opinions in my middle years. It's not that I believe, but God's chosen some times leave a bad taste in one's mouth. Ah, but there is a huge chasm between being faithful and being religious. I wish people would just be kind to one another, loving and forgiving. Is that too much to ask?

Why does it seem Easter is the lesser of the big two Christian holidays? Without Easter, Christmas becomes unimportant, just another day. I think because folks have not taken the message of forgiveness and redemption to heart is but one reason. If we tried to be forgiving, perhaps our big blue marble would be a happier Earth?

I don't have the answers, only questions. Maybe this week some will be answered, eh?

Grace Jones - Slave to the Rhythm 1985

Another tribute to 80s, I present Lady Grace Jones. I haven't kept track on her, but I wonder what happened to Grace

Work It, Work It, WERQ IT!

Oh my, my, my. the animated gif to left gave me a good pause. Now, I don't watch any of the fake WWE wrestling anymore, but isn't that Brock Leshnerr? Um, yeah. Work it girl. I have no idea what the context this, but he seems a little comfortable in that sashay.

Anyway, just a few notes. Things are going well this week. The grumpy doldrums have give me a much needed break. Tomorrow I plan on resting a bit before a busy weekend. Saturday, Big D and I are helping his brother move into a new apartment and then Saturday night I'm gathering with my bestie for drinks at a local watering hole. Time to play! LOL

Sunday, well hopefully if Darryl has off, we'll lay up in the bed (cuddlin', no naughty stuff), then possibly do brunch or early supper. I'm so ready for a nice weekend. Maybe Mr. Sun and Brother Warmth will drop by for a visit. Lord knows I'm quite sick of Old Man Winter lingering around.

No Matter What

Some days, I forget that regardless, there will always be someone who disapproves. No matter the kind deed, thought, or sentiment, some people are never satisfied or impressed. OK, let them be. Just a reminder to myself more than anything else.

Keep up the good fight.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I thought this picture was cute. I actually have a similar tee, some retro distressed deal I picked up at Target. Anyhoo, Big D and I are going to a gathering commemorating the day after he gets home from later. I never really did anything for the day before, so this should be some new and interesting.

It's Been A WEEK!

I hate it that D has crazy hours and is at work tonight. Poot! I'm another one of my crabby moods as folk have tested my last good nerve this week. Ugh. I'm so over it already. I'm glad the weekend is here. I'm so ready for two days of pure indulgence in whatever I choose. If not, I might just take Nene's suggest and read a few bitches.

OK. I don't like being Evil twin Ian. Think Happy thoughts, happy thoughts! LOL

Miss Me Blind

*deep indulgent laugh*

Holy Genderbender, Batman! LOL.

Culture Club always a bit different, even for the 80s, but I remember this song all too well. There's a personal story connected with this song that unfortunately I'm not going to share, but it does goes back to Junior High School angst. Lord.

Thank the Deity those days are gone. I don't think I'd survive an 80s resurgence if I tried.

Have Care

This Is Beautiful

This truly, brought a tear to my ear. I'm happy this young person has loving, caring, and accepting parents.... Awesome.

FLOTUS, Michelle Obama

The First Lady of the United States is just stunning...STUNNING, in this photo. I was so happy to hear Ms. Obama is gracing the cover of Vogue. I have seen the issue yet, but have seen the few excerpts floating on the Interwebs. She looks absolutely REGAL. I love my First Family!!!

The King & I

Photographic genius!

Caught In The Act

I'd post this a number of years ago and I still think this photo is funny as shit. The leering look on the kids face says it all. And, um who am I to judge. I sorta did the same thing with a celebrity at a Phillies game once. Albeit, it wasn't his ass I was photographing,. *wink*

Police Box

So that's what the TARDIS is really hiding. LOL

Malcolm Had Forsight

While I'm sure Malcolm wasn't applying this thought to the struggle for gay marriage, other denied rights for same sex couples and a host of other current events, I'm gonna make the stretch and draw a connection. If I can. Briefly. I know I can get wordy...

We still have no trial date for Trayvon Martin's accused murderer, yet taxpayer's dollars are endlessly being spent on the Jodi Arias foolishness.... I believe in proper jurisprudence, but please. Her convenient memory loss screams this chick is maniacal, conniving, lying, and best of all, guilty of premeditated murder. When is George Zimmerman going to have his day in court?

Spending, cuts, and bipartisan banter back and forth. Lord, when I heard Sen. Rand Paul stood on the floor for 12 hours ranting about some unrelated issue purposely filibustering the confirmation for the new CIA Director, I laughed. Really? You know you effed up when John McCain and Lindsey Graham snub you off in your own party.

As CNN is fond of saying,  this is another example of Government kicking the can down the road. Ugh. Can we talk about real issues? Like employment, social security, domestic programs being cut, my DECREASING paycheck and INCREASING bills! Really? What's wrong America?

Wrong is indeed, wrong. Priorities have become misguided or neglected entirely. Have we lost our way? Can we get back on the path? In the 40 + years since Malcolm spoke these word, our country has made tremendous progress, so at times, but still progress. Now with so many issues in the news, I feel we're regressing. I don't understand. Someone explain....

The Bite Comes Back

You know, sometimes so frikkin' frustrating when folks who irritate you, never leave. I'm dealing with a nuisance who like the plague, is hard to rid.

Typically, I try keep the negative on a leash. No time for bullshissz rising from the depths. Yet when I'm alone, I lose personal perspective, give in, and surrender to doubt. Some people plain where me out that I can no longer maintain the  smiles, being my usual friendly loveable self. Some folks are just evil. Vampires waiting to drain you anything good and positive.

Sookie!!!!!!

So, blah blah blah, is back in town. I've known it. I've been doing my best to avoid them in anyway possible, but because we have the same circle of friends, our meeting up was unavoidable. So we did run into each other a few weeks ago and I've been a sour puss ever since. Just down right moody.
Not everything is perfect in Ianland. The damn Incubus is back. Well, not the Incubus, but one of my many Incubi. Jeez. Just when you thought it was safe to live and let live, asshole keep coming back.

I'm holding steady. Forgiveness is a process. Just saying the words is only the beginning. The process is on-going. I don't forgive easily and I don't forget easily. Malign my name, or my person, and I'll hold on to that like luggage at the airport.

Why do mean people exist? Go shit in your own cornflakes, OK?

The person creating that dark place is a pest who darts in and out of my life, Where I go, coincidentally, they're there! Why is it the people you want nothing to do with, associate in any form, tend to always, ALWAYS, eek their way into your space? Get the hell away from me! Please. You said what you had to say, wanted things to take it's own resolution, yet you're still pestering me. Oh, I'm trying so hard not to be too derogatory or be low rent by swearin' all up in this post, but damn.

The best part of tonight though, is Big D...Darryl is coming over after he gets off work. I plan on burying my face in his chest, let the lug hold me and pretend he'll make everything safe and cozy. LOL. It's funny. A friend asked me the other day if I was falling for D and I admitted I'm fighting it. Dude makes me feel good. I know when he comes home tonight, he'll mos def make the world brighter. My world. So, ....shhhhh. Don't tell him, but yeah I like my homme.  I mean like, like let's be boyfriends already. Boyfriend? Yes, boyfriend.

As for the arschloch, well... I need to be SO patient with myself first and foremost, and continue to practice that forgiveness. In time, their hurt can't and WON'T bother me anymore. I needed to get this off my chest. Sorry if I let the whiny sad sack Jinn out of the bottle. We all can't be an emotionless Slappy London, can we?

Perfect Peace

Of Course It Does....

Whoever said otherwise, just don't know what the eff they're talking about, LOL. I found this photo during one of my Tumblr sojourns over the weekend. Noire does excellent work. Its sexy without being suggestive. The positive message is subtle, or blatant, depending on your perspective, but I truly am in love with this image.

Doctors.

Douglas Adams

One of Those Days

Today was a particularly frustrating one. I won't go into detail, just one of those days I got swept up in the minutia. Every day can't be paradise in Paris, now can it? Tempted as I might, I perserved and trucked through the day with a better attitude. I'll I did go home take a tremendous nap after work.

Y'know, Daylight Savings Time is a b---- adjusting those first few days after the change. Tomorrow the weather is breaking above 65, yet it'll be rainy. Hm. Well, if it weren't for the rain, the flowers don't grow, right? LOL.

I'm keeping focused. My heart is a bit weary on several topics at the moment. Trynna find my proper place. Yes, I want to wallow in big ole bowl of miserable, woe-is-me, but I can't. I just can't. I'm not going let circumstance defeat me!

Mm Hm. That's my mantra and I'm stickin' to it.

Drinks

Yes! No where was this wonderful meeting was at?

Really?

Hm. Looks like someone in the McDonald's advertising department forgot to use spell check.

Grumpy? Bashful? Not Even Happy?

LOL. This was funny. At first I thought these two contestant were in relationship with each other. The Marine looks cute in his dress uniform.

Black "Eye" Of the Tiger

God, how long has it been since Rocky IV? Yeah, Dolph was kinda hot as Ivan Drago, but the Rocky Faux (lol) was just pain awful....

One Loveable Klepto

Ksensia Solo has to be one of the best actresses to play a sidekick in a television show. I love, love, love her as Kenzi, resident human on Lost Girl. She's one crazy, wig wearin', often pilfering & mooching, loveable gal.

Lost Girl is doing great for it's third season. Wasn't too sure what direction the show would go after Bo and crew defeated the Garuda in the Season 2 finale, but so far, Season 3 is doing more character development.

My only complaint? Well, Kenzi broke up with her boyfriend Nate ( portrayed by Aaron Ashmore, twin brother to Shawn) and it looked as though a fae-human love connection was going to happen between Kenzi and Vex, but no dice. Alas, Vex left town after he safeguard Bo against the Morrigan's wishes. Damn. I was just starting to like nice Vex.

I enjoy the show and hope the show can make it. Thanks to it, the SyFy Channel is actually worth watching again!

Bat Reign...

"On the fields of Trenzalore, at the fall of the Eleventh, a question will be asked – one that must never be answered. And Silence will fall when the question is asked.

The first question, the question that must never be answered, hidden in plain sight, the question you’ve been running from your whole life: Doctor, Who? "

Adam Levine

I'll admit, I'm not the biggest Maroon 5 fan. However, I do lke the words, actions, and deeds from
front man Adam Levine. Caught the blurb above posted on Tumblr. I laughed and had to smile. Adam is correct. Mainstream marriages crash and burn so quickly, but no one ever worries about divorce rate affecting the "holy institution." I digress.

I'm now following Adam's Twitter. I hope he continues to advocate for the Community, if you can loosely call us 'children' a community. That's a topic for another post...

Kudos, Adam!

Suit 'N Tie

I missed JT on SNL last night, decided it was better to get to bed since we lost an hour to Daylight Savings Time. How was he?

Sorry, Oh So Sorry

I have no words... OK, so this guy may be a little young for me, but doesn't take away from the fact he is hot as fuck. LOL.

Boy Is A Bottom

Lawd. This was too funny.

By the way, can I go on record stating I think Detox is on the path to being America's next Drag Superstar? So far this season, with the exception of the double elimination (and I still wisely chose the bottom two), I've been dead-on with who sashayed away...

Perhaps the show has gotten too predictable or maybe I'm just over reality TV. In any case, I like Detox. I hope she wins this season of RuPaul's Drag Race.

The Hairless Cat

As a cat aficionado, I'm not too fond of hairless cats. Mmm, sorry, no. They look like mutant rats. An associate of mine has one and I'm afraid to go near the damn thing. It's friendly, it just looks like it came from somewhere deep in outer space....
